What MeetCoach does

MeetCoach is a real-time AI meeting coaching tool available as a desktop application (Linux, Windows, macOS) and a Chrome extension. It captures audio from your microphone and meeting audio, transcribes it in real time, and provides coaching tips during the conversation.

Data we collect

• Account information: email address and hashed password, stored in Supabase Auth.
• Real-time audio: streamed to our server for transcription via Deepgram and coaching via Gemini Flash. Audio is processed in real time and never stored on our servers during live sessions.
• Session recordings (optional): you may choose to upload session recordings after a meeting for higher-quality batch transcription. These are stored encrypted in your private storage bucket.
• Session data: transcripts, coaching tips, summaries, and analysis generated from your sessions.
• Resume (optional): if you upload a resume for context-aware coaching, it is stored in your account.
• Usage data: session count, duration, and plan usage for billing purposes.

Chrome extension permissions

The MeetCoach Chrome extension requests the following permissions:

• tabCapture: captures audio from the active browser tab (your meeting audio).
• Microphone: captures your voice for transcription.
• activeTab / host_permissions: injects the coaching overlay on your meeting tab.
• storage: stores your authentication token and preferences locally.
• offscreen: processes audio in the background without a visible window.

Audio captured by the extension is streamed directly to MeetCoach servers for real-time processing and is not stored locally or shared with any third party beyond our transcription (Deepgram) and AI (Google Gemini) providers.

Third-party services

• Deepgram: speech-to-text transcription.
• Google Gemini: AI coaching tip generation.
• Supabase: authentication, database, and file storage.
• LemonSqueezy: payment processing.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

Data retention

Session data is retained according to your plan: 7 days for Free, 90 days for Starter, unlimited for Pro. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting support.

Security

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Session recordings are stored encrypted. Authentication uses industry-standard JWT tokens. We follow security best practices including row-level security on all database tables.
